No particular standard imposed by the Thailand Government concerning car inspection for the SRT exists. However, the SRT has its own standard on periodical car inspection.
Thailand does not manufacture railway cars. However, large-scale repairs and modification engineering are performed, besides ordinary inspections and repairs.
In order to improve inspection and repair skills, quality control and staff training programs are emphasized. This contributes to maintaining a fairly good level of inspection and repair skills in SRT.
